99,262 industries set up in five years

Bhopal. As many as 99,262 micro, small, medium and large industries have been set up in five years in Madhya Pradesh from year 2007 to 2011. Jobs have been provided to two lakh 41 thousand 315 persons in these units set up at a cost of Rs. 19,386 crore.
Of the established industries, maximum 99,179 are micro and small ones. The industries set up with an investment of Rs. 1771 crore 28 lakh 46 thousand have provided jobs to two lakh 23 thousand 444 persons.
Industries set up at a cost of Rs. five to 10 crore are in the category of small industries. Eighteen industries of this category have been set up during the last five years at a cost of Rs. 128 crore 15 lakh 95 thousand. They have made available jobs to 1,385 persons.
About 65 large industries have been set up at cost of Rs. 10 crore with an investment of Rs. 17,486 crore 93 lakh 33 thousand and have provided jobs to 16,486 persons.
