Action taken by the Transport Commissioner: Removed Bhopal RTO-ARTO after corruption charges came to light; An investigation team was formed under the chairmanship of the Transport Commissioner.

Transport Commissioner SK Jha has removed RTO Sanjay Tiwari and ARTO Anpa Khan with immediate effect. This action was taken despite Sunday being a holiday. RTO Sanjay Tiwari, who has been in Bhopal for 13 years, has been attached to the Commissioner’s Camp Office, Bhopal and Anpa Khan, who has been the Bhopal ARTO for 5 years, has been attached to the Transport Commissioner’s Office, Gwalior.

Here, ARTO Ranjana Kushwaha from Baitul has been made the in-charge RTO. An investigation team headed by Deputy Transport Commissioner Dilip Singh Tomar has been formed to investigate the entire matter. Divisional Deputy Transport Commissioner Bhopal Arun Singh will also be present in it.

This team has to submit its investigation report within 10 days, along with its recommendations to improve the working style of the RTO office to the commissioner. The order made it clear that the published news showed that the RTO had no control over its subordinates and office activities.

The minister said – any irregularity will not be tolerated

“Next week I myself will inspect the RTO offices of the state along with senior officials. If any irregularities are found, immediate action will be taken against the concerned officials.”
