Arrival of Hajis delayed due to flight disturbance

INDORE: On Thursday very happily when the relatives of Haj pilgrims reached to airport to receive them, they faced disappointment as the flight carrying the pilgrims from Madina did not reach Indore.

The flight was scheduled to land in the city at 10.40 am but was cancelled at the eleventh hour due to which confusion prevailed at the airport.

By the evening when the airliner told State Haj Committee (SHC) that Indore-bound passengers will arrive by two special flights on Friday, the situation gets cleared.

According to sources the SHC head Sanawwar Patel said, “The airline informed us that two planes belonging to Nas Air carrying 120 and 125 passengers respectively would reach Indore on Friday morning.”

Patel further informed that the flight carrying 245 passengers reached Bhopal on Thursday.

The flight scheduled to land in Bhopal was cancelled due to a snag on Wednesday, so the flight meant for Indore was re-routed to ferry pilgrims to Bhopal, source added.
