Band Activities Foster Discipline, Team Spirit
Commissioner of Public Instruction Shilpa Gupta was inaugurating a state-level band competition

Describing the band Activities as a means of developing discipline and team spirit among students, Commissioner of Public Instruction Shilpa Gupta said the activities will soon be expanded to more schools in the state.
Schools in Madhya Pradesh have brought laurels to the state by performing well in national-level band competitions, said Gupta. She was inaugurating a state-level band competition in the state capital.
Gupta stated that, along with the qualitative improvement of education in government schools in the state, activities related to literature, music, sports, and yoga are also being expanded.
Spectators cheered for the participating students from the 19 teams in the Brass Band and Pipe Band categories in various divisions of the state.
On this occasion, the Director of Public Instruction, DS Kushwaha, was also present. The winning teams in the Brass Band and Pipe Band categories of the competition will participate in the national competition.
The national-level winning and runner-up teams will have the opportunity to participate in the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi next year.
Notably, the state’s band team has been participating in the Republic Day Parade for the last two years.
