Banners, posters being removed daily to ensure fair polls

Bhopal: Banners, posters, hoardings etc. are being removed daily to ensure free and fair polls in Madhya Pradesh. Wall paintings are also being removed. This action is being taken under Prevention of deforming to Public Property Act to prevent misuse of public and private property.

Implementing Prevention of deforming to Public Property Act strictly, one lakh 52 thousand 230 posters, banners etc have been removed. These include 30 thousand 701 wall writings, 52 thousand 516 posters, 28 thousand 227 banners and 40 thousand 786 other materials which have been removed. As many as 233 cases have also been registered regarding above-mentioned material from public property.

Similarly, 19 thousand 783 material of various kinds have been removed from private property. These include 6994 wall writings, 4625 posters, 3009 banners and 5155 other materials.
