Bhagavad Gita a scripture on life management: CM

Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Bhagavad Gita is a scripture on life management. He said that mere reciting of Bhagavad Gita is not fruitful if not internalized. He observed that an efficient worker detached from earthly gains and aspiring for virtues can enthusiastically serve the country, state and society. Shri Chouhan was addressing Gitafest-2015 at Lal Parade Ground organized by Shri Narmdehar Seva Trust here today.

Shri Chouhan said that the Gitaji teaches to be free from ego, be patient and to work enthusiastically. It inspires to follow the path of Karmayog and become selfless. Nothing is permanent in life. To act selflessly without expecting rewards is the basic teaching. If this understanding prevails, the society will be free from all indecent acts.

Member of parliament Shri Satyanarain Jatia elaborated on the importance of Gita philosophy. Shri Prabhu Dayal Krishna a noted scholar on Gita, said that the holy book is a light of knowledge for humans.

Member of parliament Shri Alok Sanjar, learned scholar Shri Bhagwatsharan Mathur, Swami Samir Bramhchari of Vishv Seva Ashram and devotees were present. Shri Amritanand of Calcutta presented to the Chief Minister a painting on Gita teachings.
