Bharat Ratna Sushri Lata Mangeshkar and Film Actor Shri Amitabh Bachchan Praised Yatra

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that we all should take pledge to conserve rivers and lakes on the occasion of World Wetland Day on February 2. ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ Seva Yatra is getting wide support from people in the country and abroad. Renowned Film Actor Shri Amitabh Bachchan and Play Back Singer Bharat Ratna Sushri Lata Mangeshkar have congratulated him over phone for this campaign. Shri Chouhan was addressing the Jan-Sanvad held at village Singaji of Khandwa district.

CM Shri Chouhan said that merging Narmada water in Kshipra has brought happiness in the lives of farmers of Malwa region. Also millions of devotees who had participated in Simhastha-2016 held at Ujjain were fortunate to take a dip in Kshipra River beside Narmada River. Shri Chouhan lauded the cooperation of Jan Abhiyan Parishad in Narmada Seva Yatra. He told that all the members of the cabinet will participate in yatra on the occasion of Narmada Jayanti on February 3.

MP Shri Nandkumar Singh Chouhan said that this yatra does not belong to any religion or party. Yatra is transformed into a wide public movement now.

Wahabi Religious Head Dr. Merchant lauded the efforts of the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan for success of Narmada Seva Yatra. He said that 193 countries of United Nations have supported this agenda of river conservation. Dr. Merchant has termed the yatra as a praiseworthy effort.

Jan-Sanvad was also addressed by Religious Head Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed. He appealed to the people present on the occasion to make this campaign of river conservation successful.
