Bhopal got 5 star rating in Swachh Survekshan Awards 2023.
Bhopal was the fifth cleanest city in the country with 5 star rating in the Cleanliness Survey 2023. As soon as this news came, the Municipal Corporation employees in Bhopal started celebrating.
The sanitation workers started dancing in front of the BMC office. During this, Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi also played the drum and made the employees happy. The previous ranking was sixth.
Earlier, the city had achieved second rank in the country for two consecutive years in the year 2017 and 2018. According to sanitation officials, better work has been done in Bhopal in processing five types of waste including wet, dry and medical. President Draupadi Murmu distributed awards to the winners at the event at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. CM Mohan Yadav was present on this occasion.
