BJP Parliamentary Board to Decide on Uma’s Return: Jha

On the return of Uma Bharati to BJP, the Madhya Pradesh BJP has said that the party’s parliamentary board will take the decision, said media reports.

Prabhat Jha, chief of party’s state unit, provided this information in response to a query about the possibility of Uma Bharti’s return to the party, reports said.

He said that there was not much they can do for her return to the party, said reports.

Jha said that party’s Parliamentary Board secretary Anant Kumar had also clearly said that any decision regarding this matter would be taken by the board only, reports said.

About Jaswant Singh’s return, he said that it was not proper for a senior man like Singh to be at any other place and hence party decided to take him back, said reports.

He made the statement when asked about his opinion about Jaswant Singh’s return.

Jha added that the expulsion of Singh was not associated with indiscipline, but he was expelled from the party for praising Pakistan’s founder, Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
