BJP to gherao CM house today

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to ‘gherao’ the Chief Minister’s House and police stations here on Tuesday to denounce what it said was “religious conversion” of tribals in Chhattisgarh.

The BJP has charged that tribals were being lured into changing their religion but no action was being taken even if complaints were lodged.

BJP leader Brijmohan Agrawal said the government is trying to protect the missionaries in tribal areas like Surguja and Bastar. Now the people will take up the cudgels if the government didn’t take any action, he said.

The BJP leader warned of clashes between tribals and converted tribals.
