BJP will form govt in MP & Telangana: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

HYDERABAD: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said the BJP would form the government in Madhya Pradesh and Telangana with a comfortable majority.

Shivraj, who was in Hyderabad to take part in the election campaign, told the media that there was no antiincumbency in his state. “People will give an opportunity to BJP again,” he said. In Telangana too, he said, there was a pro-BJP wave and hoped people would elect BJP to power. Criticising TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said though the Nizam’s rule ended a few decades ago, KCR was behaving like a ruler. “I have been chief minister of MP for the last 13 years, I have not seen a CM who does not go to secretariat,” he said.

Shivraj said the TRS president had spent several crores of rupees for his camp office but given up the very purpose for which Telangana was carved out. “Promise of water, funds and jobs remained unfulfilled,” he said. Chouhan alleged that the Telangana government kept increasing the costs of irrigation projects but did not ensure water for people.Shivraj said that KCR owed an explanation to the people for turning Telangana into a revenue-deficit state. The MP CM termed the Praja Kutami an ‘opportunistic alliance’ and said that people would reject it.
