Chief Minister is first servant of people in democracy : Shivraj
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Chief Minister is the first servant of people in a democracy. His religion is service to the people. Schemes have been chalked out in Madhya Pradesh to ensure justice to all. These include Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojna, scholarships, cycle distribution and educational loan guarantee scheme. The State Government has chalked out all the schemes and opportunities without any caste discrimination. Shri Chouhan said this at Kayastha Samaj programme at Ravindra Bhavan here today. On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan was felicitated with Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvjan Sukhay Shikhar Samman.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Kayastha means one which is found in entire self including heart, mind and soul. Kayastha talents are active in the society in the same manner. Referring to Kayastha talents in the field of arts, literature, culture, science, politics, religion and society, he said that this community’s contribution has been signifant in the country and state’s development. He said that his personality has deep imprints of several great Kayastha persons.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan appealed not to discriminate between sons and daughters. He said that daughters should be saved and promoted to save the nature. He said that the government will look after parents with daughters only in their old age. Scheme is also being chalked out to give them pension. He urged kayastha Samaj to lead in creating mass opinion for ending discrimination between sons and daughters.
Higher Education, Culture and Public Relations Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma said that Kayastha Samaj has contributed a lot to the country’s prosperity and all-round development. Entire country feels proud due to Kayastha luminaries. This is why all the communities respect them.
Water Resources and Environment Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya congratulated Kayastha talents and wished for their bright future. Retired Supreme Court judge Justice Shri Deepak Verma said that a person is human being first and should not be confined to any circle. National President of Kayastha Mahasabha Shri Kailash Sarang said that the organisation was formed in the year 1887. He informed that the community is cent percent literate. Its members are spread all over the country from Atuck to Cuttack and the federation is doing the work of organising them.
At the programme, welcome address was delivered by Madhya Pradesh Laghu Van Upaj Sangh chairman Shri Vishwas Sarang while Madhya Pradesh Kayastha Sabha state president Shri Sunil Shrivastava proposed a vote of thanks.
At the function, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan felicitated 34 judges, doctors, businessmen and retired and serving officers of Indian administrative, police, forest services and Air Force. He also released community’s souvenir and ‘Beti Bachao’ magazine. At the outset, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan garlanded a portrait of Bhagwan Chitragupta and lighted a lamp.
All-India Kayastha Mahasabha National Vice-President Shri Chaudhary Jitendra Nath Singh, Dr. Amitabh Verma and other Kayastha luminaries and members were also present on the occasion.
