Cities’ master plan to be made as per the future needs: CM Kamal Nath

Bhopal: The Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that we aim to create a distinct identity of Madhya Pradesh in the country. He mentioned that master plan of all the cities of the state including Bhopal will be prepared keeping in view the needs of future and to reduce the pressure of population. Kamal Nath further stated that the history of Bhopal will also be duly written. He was inaugurating the Musical Water Fountain at Jeevan Vatika Park situated at Upper Lake here on Monday. The Minister for Cooperative and District In-Charge Dr. Govind Singh and Minister for Urban Development and Housing Jaivardhan Singh were present on the occasion.
Kamal Nath every city has its own culture and history. Efforts will have to be made to apprise the coming generation with it to enable them to understand special traditions and culture of their city. He mentioned that we will give serious thought to the problems arising due to the increasing urbanization and to find out solutions to resolve these problems. The Chief Minister said that the common people should also connect themselves in the expansion of cities and to make them systematic because this could not become possible with their help.
Congratulating the Mayor Alok Sharma and Municipal Corporation for starting the Musical Water Fountain at the Pride of Bhopal, the Upper Lake, the Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that the scheme is being prepared to present the history and culture of major Temples and Historical heritage before the common people and especially tourists through laser shows. He informed that when he was the Union Minister for Environment, he had made the amount available by sanctioning the scheme for deepening of Bhopal lake, beautification and for the construction of VIP Road. He further stated that it was my responsibility to keep the Bhopal Lake remained conserved and beautiful.
The Minister for Public Relations PC Sharma said that the Chief Minister has taken the initiative to enhance the beauty of every city of the state. Today our Bhopal is connected with air service with the major cities of the country. The credit for this achievement goes to Kamal Nath. Sharma further mentioned that the Chief Minister has done a historic work by inaugurating the Sanjivini Clinic to provide better health services. Besides better health services, he is making constant efforts also for the beautification of the cities. The Mayor Alok Sharma emphasized on the need for writing the history of Bhopal afresh. He said that Bhopal has one thousand years old glorious history. The Ganga-Jamuni culture of this city is an example of mutual harmony.
The Chief Minister Kamal Nath duly inaugurated the Musical Water Fountain. With the classical music and singing, the mesmerizing images were presented with the water drops of Bhopal Lake. Through the water drops the life story of the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was presented in an amazing manner on the occasion of his 150th anniversary.
The Chairman of Bhopal Municipal Corporation Surjeet Singh Chouhan, Leader of Opposition Municipal Corporation Mohd. Sagheer, Corporators, Members of MIC and citizens in large number were present on the occasion. The vote of thanks was proposed by the local corporator Shabista Zaki.
