CM instructed to survey damage caused by hailstorm, said crops of 3701 farmers of 343 villages were damaged
It remained cloudy in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday also for the 5th day. Water fell in Jabalpur on Tuesday night and there was fog on Wednesday morning.
The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in Rewa, Sagar divisions and adjoining Gwalior, Bhind-Datia. There will be clouds in Bhopal for the next 2 days.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given instructions to immediately survey the damage caused due to rain and hailstorm in some districts of the state from 11 to 14 February. Said- No farmer affected by hailstorm was left out from relief and survey.
After the survey, distribute the relief amount to the farmers in RBC 6(4). Instructions have been given for immediate survey on the information of crops of 3 thousand 701 farmers of 343 villages of 34 tehsils of Balaghat, Katni, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Didonri, Mandla, Satna, Singrauli, Panna, Anuppur and Chhatarpur being affected. It has been asked to provide relief as per the provisions of the Revenue Book Circular. Sufficient amount of budget is available to sanction relief amount. It is noteworthy that an amount of Rs 121 crore has been distributed by the state government to the hailstorm affected people in the financial year 2023-24. In the last three years, assistance worth Rs 1,820 crore has been given to farmers affected by natural disasters.
Dr. Vedprakash Singh, senior scientist of the Meteorological Department, Bhopal, said that at present there is a cyclonic circle over Marathwada (Maharashtra). There is a cyclonic circle at the local level around Rewa division. Due to this, southern winds are active, which are bringing moisture from the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, there will be drizzle in Rewa, Sagar division and adjoining Gwalior, Bhind, Datia on Wednesday also. Clouds will remain for the next two days. After this the weather will start opening up. Till then there will be no drop in the minimum temperature. After the system passes, there will be a drop of only one or two degrees.
Here, the temperature of day and night has increased. On Tuesday night the minimum mercury crossed 10 degrees in all the cities of the state. In Pachmarhi and Tikamgarh it was the lowest at 11 degrees each. The highest minimum mercury was recorded in Damoh at 18 degrees. The temperature in Khandwa-Khargone crossed 32 degrees during the day on Tuesday.
