CM lays foundation stone of four-lane upgradation work costing Rs. 871 crore at Devsa

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid foundation stone of four-lane upgradation work on National Highway 75 at Devsar tahsil headquarters in Singrauli district today. The upgradation work will be carried out from 83/4 to 195/9 kilometre on the highway under DBFOT project. This 102.60 kilometer long project of Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation will cost Rs. 871 crore 15 lakh.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of Pandit Deendayal Dham Housing Project. He announced construction of Devsar bypass road. The Chief Minister also announced to open ITI at Devsar and start science and commerce classes in Devsar College from the next academic session and link Dalla nullah with Gadwani nullah.
Meanwhile at Antyodaya Mela at Devsar Janpad Panchayat, 11 thousand 463 beneficiaries of various schemes were provided benefits worth Rs. 28 crore 10 lakh 77 thousand 570.
The Chief Minister directed that a list of patients should be prepared after survey in entire district who should be treated at a mega health camp. He said that patients will also be sent outside the district for treatment, if needed. The Chief Minister said that the existing State Government has brought Singrauli-Devsar area into the mainstream of development. He said that the State Government persuaded owners of industrial units to be set up in Singrauli-Devsar area to provide 50 percent jobs to local people. Shri Chouhan said that the State Government has made arrangements to ensure that a poor person should be given patta of land where he resides. Arrangements for constructing houses will also be made. Distribution of free medicines to common people has been started in government hospitals. Shri Chouhan asked MLAs to tour their constituencies, find out common people’s problems and initiate process to get them solved at the government-administration level.
Earlier, the Chief Minister laid foundation of road construction work after Kanya Poojan. MLA Shri Vishwamitra delivered the welcome address. Member of Parliament Shri Govind Mishra highlighted role of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan in development of Sidhi and Singrauli districts. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister distributed cheques/pattas to beneficiaries. Shri Chouhan also interacted with people and accepted their applications directly.
