CM sanctioned a fund of Rs. 50 lakhs to Ashta Municipality
SEHORE (MPINFO): MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh will be made happier and more prosperous, addressing a farmers’ convention at Ashta in Sehore district on Friday.
He distributed a sum of Rs. 41 crore among 21 thousand beneficiaries of various schemes.
Referring to several schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojna, Ladli Laxmi Yojna and Gaon Ke Beti Yojna, Chouhan said that social change is being witnessed in the state in the wake of implementation of these schemes.
He said that daughter is neither a bane nor others’ wealth, but is a gift of God, which gives movement to the whole world. He informed that Madhya Pradesh government is seriously contemplating the proposal for sanctioning pension to all the parents of 60 years of age, who have only two daughters. He also performed Kanya Poojan.
The Chief Minister dedicated five secondary school buildings constructed at a cost of Rs. 38 lakh 77 thousand. He laid foundation stone of development works to the tune of Rs. four crore 90 lakh 97 thousand, which include tap-water scheme, government high school, 33/KV power sub-station Mehatwara etc.
The Chief Minister sanctioned conversion of Ashta Hospital to 100-bed hospital, direct water supply from Rampura Dam through pipeline, widening of Mandi Road, construction of a bridge on road to Anandpur and connecting inaccessible villages with main road. He said that a scheme has been chalked out to upgrade schools everywhere in the state as per requirements.
The Chief Minister undertook a surprise visit to Ashta Hospital. He interacted with patients, enquired about their health and facilities being provided to them. He instructed doctors that there should be no negligence in Janani Suraksha Yojna. He also instructed to install a big X-ray machine in the local hospital.
On the occasion, Tribal Welfare Minister Kunwar Vijay Singh said that there will be no shortcomings in the district’s development.
The Chief Minister sanctioned a sum of Rs. 50 lakh to Ashta Municipality for various development works. MP Shri Narayan Kesri said that 36 tankers of water have been provided to various Gram Panchayats.
Also MLA Ranjeet Singh Gunwan, Zila Panchayat CEO Dharmendra Sing Chauhan and other people’s representatives were present on the occasion.
