CM Shri Chouhan participates in 3rd Sawari of Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar at Ujjain
Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in Sawari of Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar on 3rd Monday of Hindi month Shravan at Ujjain today. He walked bare-footed with other devotees. He participated in the Sawari raising slogans in praise of Lord Bholenath. He was accompanied by wife Smt. Sadhana Singh.
The Chief Minister had Darshan at Shri Mahakaleshwar Mandir. During Darshan, he ensured that no inconvenience is caused to other devotees. After Darshan, he acknowledged people’s greetings. At outset of the Sawari, Shri Chouhan along with his wife performed Pooja at Lord Chandramauleshwar’s Sabha Mandap near Chandi Gate of Mahakal Mandir. Later, amidst beat of drums, chimes of cymbals and slogans in praise of Lord Mahakal, the Chief Minister shouldered Lord Shri Chandramauleshwar’s palanquin.
Walking with the palanquin, the Chief Minister reached Ramghat on foot. There, he performed Abhishek of Lord Shri Chandramauleshwar with Narmada water and performed worship. Shri Chouhan met Mahant Shri Prakash Puri at Mahakaleshwar Mandir. He discussed arrangements with him. Mahant Shri Puri informed the CM about drinking water problem near Juna Mahakal in Mahakaleshwar Mandir. The Chief Minister directed Collector to make adequate water available. The Chief Minister was accompanied by MP Dr. Chintamani Malviya, MLAs Dr. Mohan Yadav and Shri Anil Firojia.
