CM Shri Chouhan takes part in Lord Mahakaleshwar’s Sawari
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan with his wife participated in first Sawari of Lord Mahakaleshwar in Hindi month Bhadon at Ujjain today. After performing worship as per religious rites, Shri Chouhan placed Lord Shri Chandramauleshwar in a palanquin and then shouldered it forward.
The Sawari vended its way through traditional route. Thousands of devotees on either side of the route showered flower petals to welcome Sawari. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and his wife Smt. Sadhna Singh went barefoot upto Ramghat singing Bhajans of Lord Mahakal and playing on Jhanjh. At Ram Ghat, Chief Minister and his wife performed Puja and sent the palanquin forward.
MP Dr. Chintamani Malviya, MLA Dr. Mohan Yadav and distinguished citizens accompanied the Chief Minister.
Worship of Lord Mahakaleshwar
Earlier, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan worshipped Lord Mahakaleshwar by performing Abhishek and other religious rites as per traditions. Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Sadhna Singh was also present. After this, the Chief Minister was greeted at Nandi Hall by the collector and members of Mandir Samiti with shawl, coconut and a picture of Mahakaleshwar.
Inaugurates computerization facility
At Mahakal Pravachan Hall, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inaugurated computerization facility conducted by Mandir Prabandh Samiti to manage its Dharmshalas, donations and Prasad facilities. The facility for booking of dharmshalas, giving donations to the temple from anywhere and get Prasad at home can be availed online on website www.mahakaleshwar.nic.in.
