CM to ‘Showcase’ Madhya Pradesh today
Tokyo. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is on his 10 day foreign visit to woo investment in state, will ‘showcase’ Madhya Pradesh today. He will address ‘Madhya Pradesh Investment Promotion Session’ at Izumi Garden in Tokyo. Later, he will hold discussions with officers of Japan’s Ministry of Economic Trade & Investment and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Tourism. A short film on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh will also be screened on the occasion. Shri Chouhan will also hold one-to-one talks with representatives of Toyota Motor Corporation, Mitsubishi, Soni and Mitsui. The same night, Shri Chouhan will attend the dinner to be hosted by the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Toyota Motor Corporation and hold discussions with industrialists.
Earlier, On the first day of his foreign visit, Chief Minister visited various must-see spots in Tokyo on Monday. He visited Great Buddha of Kamakur (Daibutsu), Tsurugaok Hochimangu Shrine, Minato Mirai, Cosmo World Amusement Park, Symbolic Club Tower of Ginza Wako and Kabukuza Theatre.
Kamakura is situated on the seashore in Kanagawa Prefecture which is an hour away from Tokyo with an hour. Kamakura has several temples, samadhis and historic monuments. Besides, a large number of people visit the sandy beaches of Kamakura during summer season.
Minato Mirai is an urban area situated on the seashore in Yokohama. It has a large number of high-rise buildings and several must-see spots on the seashore. There is a convention center, amusement park etc here.
At Ginza Shopping Complex, Ginza Bako Building, Symbolic Block Tower, Kabukuza Theatre and Chuo Dori Street are special attractions. Tourists flock these places on weekends.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan is on visit of three countries from June 18 to 26 under investment promotion programme of the State Government for attracting investment in Madhya Pradesh. Commerce & Industries Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya and a business delegation are accompany him.
