Cong should introspect about its deeds: Raman
BJP national vice president and former chief minister Raman Singh said BJP does not issue any certificate of nationalism. If any doubt on Congress’s nationalism is being raised, then there is a need for the party leadership to introspect about their deeds.
Raman Singh was reacting to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s criticism of BJP’s brand of nationalism and its alleged tendency of distributing certificates of nationalism.
The BJP leader claimed the saffron party has never divided the country in the name of nationalism but Congress for power had divided the country on communal line. For whose interest Congress had retained the section 35 A in Jammu and Kashmir and advocated for scrapping of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA). Being a party chief, Rahul Gandhi supported different ‘gangs’ and what type of message it sent across. Before blaming BJP, Congress should come out of its appeasement politics.
Raman Singh said before taking banner of Lord Ram, Congress should make it clear its political stand against the Ram Janmabhoomi case by clarifying whether the Congressmen are representing as counsels those who are opposing the temple.
The BJP had never glorified Nathuram Godse but it is the Congress which has brought the ‘genie out of bottle’ that also using the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, he added.
