Dalit girl gang-raped after entering her house, beaten with belt: The bullies beat up parents, brother till they fainted; 4 accused arrested
A case of gang rape of a Dalit girl has come to light in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh. 8 bullies barged into the house and beat the members of the first family fiercely with the belt of the crusher machine. After the parents and brother fainted, the girl was raped by 5 miscreants in turn. This sensational incident took place on Thursday night in Karanwas police station area. The girl is admitted in the district hospital. Police has arrested four accused.
Actually, the victim’s family had got the land on lease a few years ago. Near this land is the land of bullies. There was a dispute between the two sides regarding this for a few months. The matter had also reached the court. On Thursday night at 10 pm, around 8 people surrounded the house of a Dalit family. First assaulted the girl’s brother, father and mother. Brother and father were beaten so much that there were deep wounds on their bodies.
The bullies fiercely beat up the family members before gang-raping the girl. Brother and father were beaten so much that there were injury marks on their bodies.
After all three fainted, the accused caught sight of the girl who was lurking in the house. He also beat the girl with the first belt. The victim told that the accused named Arvind, Deepak, Nagendra, Meherban and Banwari raped her in turn. During this, along with the accused Ramesh and Rakesh, one other stood at the door and kept watch. After the incident, when the victim’s family reached the police station to complain, the police entered the house and registered a case of molestation.
The victim’s family is undergoing treatment at the district hospital. The victim is fainting while crying again and again remembering the incident. The victim told that five people first beat me with a belt.
Karanwas police station in-charge Ajay Singh Yadav said that we had received information that on Thursday night some people barged into a girl’s house, beat her up and tore her clothes. After the incident, I myself went to the spot. We have immediately registered a case under sections 147, 149, 456, 354, 294, 323, 506, 427 against 5 accused after taking the statement of the victim’s complaint. Now four accused Arvind, Meherban, Deepak, Banwari have been arrested. The accused Devendra is absconding, who is being searched.
Bhim Army threatens agitation, Shivnarayan Jangde, president of Bhim Army Bhopal division, has given a 24-hour ultimatum to the administration and the police over the incident of assault on a Dalit family and gangrape of a daughter by bullies. He said that the accused should be arrested within 24 hours. If this does not happen, the Bhim Army will launch a fierce agitation.
