Dedicated website to facilitate dialogue between MP Government and NRI’s
Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that a dedicated interactive website would be developed to facilitate dialogue on development between Non Resident Indians (NRIs) living in USA and Madhya Pradesh. This would also facilitate the NRIs contribute to development processes in Madhya Pradesh. Shri Chouhan was addressing an assembly organized by NRIs at Chicago to felicitate him on October 06, 2012. Around 250 NRIs participated in the felicitation ceremony.
The NRIs and their family members evinced curiosity about development scenario and initiatives in Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister apprised them of the economic progress and the current development scenario. He informed that Madhya Pradesh has joined the league of advancing Indian states.
The NRIs referred to unique Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme for the poor elderly persons and inquired about its objectives, operation and management. Shri Chouhan elaborated that social welfare schemes in Madhya Pradesh are conceptualised only after having dialogues with the masses and concerning groups of stakeholders. The Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme is an outcome of the dialogue process. He said that Madhya Pradesh would facilitate the NRI families if they visit India’s pilgrimage sites in groups. He invited them for having pilgrimage describing it as spiritual entreprise to have positive energies.
Impressed by the Chief Minister’s elaboration of development vision and India’s Philosophical Approach to Life, the NRI community expressed their willingness to participate in development of Madhya Pradesh. They demanded to set up an interactive dedicated website to foster dialogue between NRIs and Madhya Pradesh on a host of development issues. Agreeing to their demand, Shri Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh will build up a website.
Visit to Vivekananda Memorial, Pays Tribute
Shri Chouhan visited the Vivekananda Memorial at Chicago and paid tribute to the memory of Swami Vivekananda. He visited the hall, which witnessed the Swami Vivekanand’s famous address at World’s Religion Parliament on September 11, 1893. Swami Vivekananda introduced America to the Vendanta Darshan and made India proud. His historic addressed opened a dialogue between East and West.
