Direct observation of research institutes will inspire students to innovate in research: MP Minister of State Parmar
The School Education Department took the students of the state on an exposure trip outside the state in the year 2022-23 under the approved action plan of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (Secondary Education). A 40-member team, including 36 class 11th students and 4 teachers studying in Indore-based Super-100 scheme, has been sent from the state to Kerala. These students witnessed a live rocket launching demonstration on 15 February at Vikram Sarabhai Space Center Thumba, Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala). Here the students learned about the nuances of research methodology and techniques.
Minister of State for School Education (Independent Charge) and General Administration Inder Singh Parmar congratulated the school education department and the benefited students for the exposure tour and safe journey of school students to Vikram Sarabhai Space Center Thumba. Minister of State Mr. Parmar said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the state government is determined to make students versatile and make education quality and employable. He said that by conducting such exposure visits to school children, they are getting an opportunity to enhance their natural talent. The students of the state are indirectly observing the experiences like science, technology and research through such tours. Overview of research and technical institutions with academic activities, There is an opportunity to prepare the foundation stone for the bright future and career of the students. Surely this visit will provide direction for innovation in the attitude of the students according to their interest in research and will motivate them to serve the nation by making a career in the field of research.
The team will also visit the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari on 17 February. School Education Department has sent students from Indore to Thiruvananthapuram by air for this exposure visit. The team will reach back to Indore on 18 February.
