Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing initiatives across Bhopal’s districts on Wednesday, urging all departments to focus on meeting set goals within the financial year. The review, held via video conference, included collectors, CEOs of district panchayats, and senior officials from various departments.
Singh emphasized the importance of timely goal achievement and instructed departments to submit proposals for additional targets within a week. He also stressed the need for each department to prepare work schedules to ensure targets are met by year-end.
The Commissioner called for expedited implementation of key welfare schemes, including the PM Jan-Man scheme and the Dharti Aaba Tribal Utkarsh Abhiyan, urging the Department of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Welfare to fast-track their efforts. On the Ayushman Scheme, Singh noted impressive progress in card distribution, with Bhopal at 96%, Sehore at 93%, and Raisen at 87%. He called for a campaign to complete remaining tasks.
Further, Singh highlighted the need for timely fertilizer and seed availability, prompt payments for soybean procurement, and strict enforcement of crop residue burning laws. He also emphasized the importance of using Happy Seeders to support sustainable farming practices.
In terms of credit card distribution, the Animal Husbandry Department has distributed 6,962 Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs) out of a target of 9,450, while the Fisheries Department was advised to increase its pace.
The Urban Bodies and Housing Department was urged to ensure the benefits of the Prime Minister’s Street Vendor Scheme reach the maximum number of beneficiaries during the “Swaniidhi Bhi, Swabhimaan Bhi” fortnight. Singh also instructed the provision of shelter facilities for the homeless during the cold season.
In a decisive move, Singh issued notices to five officers in Rajgarh district for failing to address complaints in a timely manner, including officials from the Labour, Health, Cooperative Bank, Excise, and Water Resources departments.
