Dr. Mohan government will take a loan of Rs. 2000 crores: Need for other schemes including Ladli Behna
Dr. Mohan Yadav government of the state is going to take a loan of two thousand crore rupees from the market for the first time. This loan amount will be spent on other schemes including Mukhyamantri Ladli Brahmin Yojana. Bidding will be held to take this loan through RBI on 26th December and the government will receive this money on 27th December. Let us tell you, Madhya Pradesh already has more debt than the budget.
This is the second loan of Rs 2,000 crore taken by the state government within a month. A loan of Rs 2000 crore was taken on November 28 before the announcement of assembly election results. Loans worth Rs 39,500 crore have been taken since January this year.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has made it clear that the scheme will not be closed due to the siege by Congress regarding the Ladli Brahmin Scheme. Its money will be sent to the beneficiaries’ accounts on time. After this, the Finance Department on Wednesday issued a notification to take a loan of Rs 2,000 crore.
On Thursday, CM Dr. Yadav had stated during the Governor’s address that the government will not stop any scheme. Funds are being sent for all the schemes on time.
According to the notification of the Finance Department, the first loan will be taken by the new government through the Reserve Bank. This loan of Rs 2,000 crore is being taken for 16 years, which is to be repaid by 26 December 2039.
The state government had not taken a loan in the beginning of November due to Congress making it an election issue during the assembly elections, but on November 28, five days before the counting, the government had to take a loan of Rs 2,000 crore. It is said that Rs 1600 crore alone will be transferred to the accounts of 1.31 crore sisters under Ladli Brahmin Yojana. The then Shivraj government had fixed 10th date for this. The new government has not yet changed this date.
Loan was taken thrice after implementation of code of conduct
The election code of conduct came into force in Madhya Pradesh on 9 October. After this, the then Shivraj Singh Chouhan government had taken a loan of Rs 4000 crore thrice in the month of October itself. Earlier in the month of September, the state government had taken a loan of Rs 4500 crore for the implementation of announcements and services provided to employees and other sections.
