Education gives knowledge, skills and values: CM
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that meaningful education is that gives knowledge, skills and values. Education which is useful for life is necessary. He said that efforts should be made to ensure that Indian universities also figure in the list of 200 best universities of world.
Shri Chouhan was addressing annual function of People’s University here today. Home & Jail Minister Shri Babulal Gaur, Higher & Technical Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta, Health & Family Welfare Minister Shri Narottam Mishra, Food & Civil Supplies Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Energy & Public Relations Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla and People’s University Chancellor Shri Suresh Vijayvargiya were present on the occasion.
Shri Chouhan urged youths to create new history. They should lead a life which is useful for country and society. They should contribute their best to the areas from where they come. He said that human beings have immense capacities. It one makes up his mind then nothing is impossible. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh was once a sick state, but is now the fastest growing state in the country. The President has conferred Krishi Karman Award to Madhya Pradesh. The state is also going to receive Best Tourism State Award on February 18.
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh will be developed as the best state in the country. For this, cooperation of all sections of society is necessary. The government has taken resolve to ensure that no youth wanders for employment.
The Chief Minister said that remembrance of India’s glorious history inspires youths to excel in future. He said that independence has not been gifted away but won by India by brave people and martyrs of the country. He recalled services of a number of brave people and women of freedom movement.
The Chief Minister gave away gold medals to university’s meritorious students and released a souvenir.
Vice-Chancellor of People’s University Dr. V.K. Pandya delivered the welcome address and presented progress report. At the outset, National Song Vande Mataram, Madhya Pradesh Gaan and Saraswat Vandana were recited. The function was inaugurated by lighting a lamp. At the end, students presented cultural programmes
