Encouraging women participation in entrepreneurship
BHOPAL (MPINFO): For women entrepreneurs in the state a separate policy will be chalked out, said the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.
Women entrepreneurs’ conferences will be held at the division-level. Following this, Mahila Udyami Panchayat (Women entrepreneurs’ Panchayat) will be held at state-level. State’s 229 industrial zones and industrial development centres have been notified.
This will help get various permissions, facilities and concessions for industries. This information was given at the review meeting of Commerce & Industry Department chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday.
Chouhan has instructed that the set-up of Women’s Finance Development Corporation, which provides facilities to women entrepreneurs, should be changed. He said that all the preparations for the Investors’ Meet to be held in October should be completed on time.
Changes will be effected in the Industrial Policy with a view to making it more attractive for industries. The Industry Department should chalk out a consolidated Industrial Policy by studying the industrial policies of other states.
Finance Minister Raghavji, Commerce and Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Chief Secretary Avani Vaish were present at the meeting.
Earlier, a meeting of high-level Investment Augmentation Empowered Committee was also held where a decision was taken to include Sehore, Ujjain and Gwalior districts in C-category in view of industrial development.
