Everyone has to participate in ‘Beti Bachao Abhiyan’
BHOPAL (MPINFO): Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that besides the government, society should also come forward for the success of Beti Bachao Abhiyan. Chouhan was addressing a Beti Bachao Abhiyan programme at Palera in Tikamgarh district.
He urged citizens to exchange greetings on the birth of daughter also like son. Chouhan announced that girls studying in private colleges will also be given the benefits under Gaon ki Beti Yojna.
CM also announced to set up tahsil office at Lidhaura in the district during the current month. Water Resources Minister Jayant Malaiya, Minister of State for SC, ST Welfare Minister Harishankar Khatik and other people’s representatives were also present on the occasion.
He has appealed to the audience to spread the message of saving daughters to every house. He said that world cannot survive without daughters. Daughters also necessary are along with sons in family.
In a humble gesture Chouhan avoided formal welcome to him and worshipped girls’ feet with a view to sending a strong message of saving daughters across Bundelkhand region.
According to him cooperation of every section of society is necessary for ending discrimination between sons and daughters in the state. He said that nowadays daughters are also serving the country from a number of higher posts.
