Farmers sown kharif crops in ​​145.57 lakh hectare area

Production of 291.57 lakh MT of kharif is likely in the state this year, which is 56.81 lakh MT more than the previous year’s production. Farmers have sown kharif crops in an area of ​​about 145.57 lakh hectare, which is 12.60 lakh hectare more than that of last year.
According to the Department of Farmers Welfare and Agriculture, food grain in 50.92 lakh hectare area, pulses in 20.51 lakh hectare area, oilseeds in 67.85 lakh hectare area and cotton in 6.51 lakh hectare area havebeen sown this year. Production of 175.88 lakh metric tonnes of grain, 19.35 lakh metric tonnes of pulses, 84.65 lakh metric tonnes of oilseeds and 11.69 lakh metric tonnes of cotton crops is expected in Kharif this year.
