Fashion technology is novel expression of beauty on clothes: Governor

Bhopal: Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav has said that fashion technology is an art to make clothes beautiful through novel methods. He said that fashion designing is influenced by socio-cultural trends. It change with times and place. Shri Yadav was addressing the first convocation of National Fashion Technology Institute here today where he distributed degrees to students of first batch of graduates in fashion technology. Of these 32 students received graduation degrees in lifestyle accessories course and 26 students in textile designing. Governor Shri Yadav gave away certificate, gold medal and Rs. 11 thousand respectively to Sushri Nishtha Arora, Sushri Shruti Bisen and Sushri Saba Fatima for outstanding performance in fashion technology education.
Governor Shri Yadav said that fashion technology sector has immense potential. He exhorted students to always keep in view social and human values in fashion designing profession. He said that modernism should be adopted within periphery of Indian culture in such a way that dignity is not affected. Shri Yadav said that cloth industry of Maheshwar and Chanderi can be given new heights with the help of professional excellence of this institute. Shri Yadav also stressed the need for efforts to augment skill of groups and craftspersons linked with cloth industry of the state.
Earlier, institution’s Director Shri M.P. Nigam said in his welcome address that members of institute’s first graduate batch are ambassadors in the world of fashion profession. He urged students to adopt novel methods in fashion designing. Institution’s Delhi representatives Dr. Bani Jha administered oath of fashion designing to students. Director General Academy of Administration & Management Smt. Abha Asthana and MAPCOST Director General Shri P.K. Verma were also present on the occasion. The function was conducted by Shiloo Asthana. Assistant Professoer Preeti Arya proposed a vote of thanks. Mementoes were also presented to the guests.
