First session of 16th Assembly in MP: Narendra Singh Tomar will be elected Assembly Speaker unopposed, opposition joins in
The special session of the 16th Assembly in Madhya Pradesh has started from Monday. MLAs are being sworn in in this four-day long session. Meanwhile, Narendra Singh Tomar filed nomination for the post of Assembly Speaker. He will be elected unopposed. He has got the support of the opposition. The Speaker of the Assembly will be selected on December 20. The Protem Speaker will administer the oath to him.
Today Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was the first to take oath, followed by Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar. Shivraj Singh took oath at number five. BJP MLA from Sabalgarh in Morena district Sarla Rawat got stuck several times in taking the oath. She was not able to read. The security personnel helped him.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that he will work with the opposition for a positive state. Will perform rituals at Mahakal Lok, Orchha and other religious places. Administrative efficiency training will be conducted for MLAs and ministers.
Reeti Pathak, who was elected MLA from Sidhi for the first time, took oath in Sanskrit. Pathak has been an MP twice. Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, BJP MLA from Jabera in Damoh district and Pradeep Patel, BJP MLA from Mauganj for the second time, also took oath in Sanskrit.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said, ‘Today is the first day of the session of the 16th Assembly. I am happy that today the ruling party and the opposition have jointly filed the nomination for the new Assembly Speaker. As the leader of the legislative party, I welcome the positive thinking of the opposition. The opposition should give its constructive support in this manner. We will take the state to new heights of development.
Chief Minister Yadav said- Rituals will start at Mahakal Lok, Orchha and other religious places. Administrative efficiency training of MLAs and ministers will be conducted. On cabinet formation, he said, ‘A meeting was held in Delhi yesterday. The cabinet will be expanded soon.
Former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan discussed with the media in the assembly premises. Regarding the crying of women, Shivraj Singh said – Be it the relationship between brother and sister, uncle or nephew, I have said earlier also that brother’s relationship is of trust and uncle’s relationship is of love. These relationships are natural. This is a phase, gradually people forget it but the relations will remain.
He said- Old and experienced friends have also been elected to the Assembly. Adequate inclusion of the new generation is also visible. Another matter of joy is that there has also been a generation change. Mohan Yadav is the Chief Minister and Umang Singar is the Leader of Opposition. Generation change is a natural process. This is visible on both sides. I have full confidence that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state will reach new heights of progress and development.
Umang Singhar reached the chamber of the Leader of Opposition and worshiped Mahakal. After this, he garlanded the photo of former leader of opposition and his aunt late Jamuna Devi. Talking to Dainik Bhaskar, on Kamal Nath not attending the legislative party meeting, he said, ‘He is abroad, hence will not be able to come.’
Jaivardhan Singh said, ‘When the Chief Minister was asked whether the Ladli Brahmin scheme will remain in force or not, he said that we will consider. They should speak clearly on Ladli Behna Yojana.
