Former Madhya Pradesh Minister Viyogi Passes away
Former Madhya Pradesh minister Tara Singh Viyogi breathed his last at a private hospital in Gwalior yesterday following a prolonged illness. He was 84.
His mortal remains were confined to flames at Char Shahar Ka Naka Crematorium. His son Gopal Singh lit the funeral pyre. Hundreds of people assembled at the crematorium to pay their last respect to the departed soul.
Viyogi, a popular figure among working class, had been a Madhya Pradesh cabinet minister in 1980s and was a popular figure.
From an ordinary local mill workers leader, Viyogi rose to become Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Madhya Pradesh unit president and later its national vice-president.
