Government committee to benefit last person in last row: CM
Satna: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the State Government is committed to provide benefits of the government schemes to the last persons in the last row of society. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing an Antyodaya Mela at tahsil headquarters Majgawan in Satna district today. Shri Chouhan also announced to open a government college and ITI at Majgawan. At the Antyodaya Mela, assistance worth Rs. 49 crore 33 lakh was distributed to 37 thousand 424 beneficiaries of various schemes. Energy Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla presided over the function. Member of Parliament Shri Ganesh Singh, MLAs Shri Surendra Singh Gaharwar, Shri Jugal Kishore Bagri, Shri Shankarlal Tiwari and Shri Motilal Tiwari were also present on the occasion.
Shri Chouhan said that works being carried out to facilitate people at Majgawan will be completed within time-limit. A series of small barrages will be constructed for increasing irrigation potential. He said that agricultural production of 4,290 families belonging to Kherwa and Mawasi tribes will be increased by assigning them Rs. 26 crore works for bunding of fields. Referring to recent Global Investors Summit at Indore, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Rs. 4.31 crore worth MoUs have been signed for industrial progress of the state. New industries and units will be set up in Vindhya region and jobs will be provided to local people. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan laid foundation of development works worth about Rs. 20 crore.
Ku. Asha to be brought up
At the outset of the programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan met common people. During the meeting, class VI school drop out Ku. Asha Gupta sought assistance. In a sensitive gesture, the Chief Minister directed officers to extend financial assistance to Ku.Asha for pursuing further education. Ku. Asha, who has lost her parents, is living near Majgawan railway station.
