Government to develope Solar parks in MP
BHOPAL: A meeting of New & Renewable Energy has been took place here on Monday. In the meeting Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, New & Renewable Energy Minister Ajay Vishnoi and Minister of State for Energy Rajendra Shukla were present.
In the meeting it was decided that a land bank will be set up by identifying lands for development of solar parks in the state. Initially about, 2000 hectare land, which is not useful for agriculture and industries, will be identified. The work done in Gujarat will also be studied in thin regard.
The Chief Minister said that solar energy is investment for future and its importance will increase in future. He said that we need to move ahead in this direction by taking a balanced initiative.
He instructed to identify lands not suitable for industries and developed them as solar parks and infrastructure developed over there.
Other members present on the occasion include Chief Secretary Avani Vaish, Additional Chief Secretary R. Parasuram and concerned officers.
