Inquiry Ordered into Suicide of Chhattarpur Sisters
An investigation has been ordered into the death of two sisters in Chhattarpur district, who committed suicide after two constables allegedly took nude photographs of one of them, said media reports.
“Two Additional DGPs R C Arora and K N Tiwari will hold an inquiry and submit report to the state government,” DGP S K Raut was quoted as saying.
Raut said that both the constables accused of taking pornographic photographs were booked, reports said.
One of them, Kanhaiyalal Tiwari, was arrested and hunt was on to nab the other one named Arvind Pal, said reports.
Dipanjali, 21 and her sister Pushpanjali, 16, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance after two other constables Praveen and Ashok yesterday came to their house and threatened them to withdraw cases against Tiwari and Pal, reports said.
Dipanjali died in Chhatarpur yesterday while her sibling succumbed today at a hospital in Jhansi, said reports.
