International Horti Expo at Bhopal on Feb. 1-3

Bhopal: International Horti Expo-2013 will be held at Bhopal with a view to making farmers aware of latest techniques available at national and international levels and displaying and selling of products. The expo will be held at BHEL Dussehra Ground from February 1 to 3.
All companies producing horticulture products and manufacturing products in the horticulture sector have been invited to participate in the expo. Specialists have been invited to make farmers aware of crops. These specialists will impart knowledge in seminar and symposium. At the seminar, detailed discussions will also be held on problems faced by farmers in horticulture.
Arrangements will also be made for sale of necessary implements for horticulture, pesticides, fertilisers, seeds etc. at the exhibition where horticulture farmers’ success stories will also be displayed. Farmers having met with success in horticulture sector have also been invited to the expo to share their experiences with other farmers.
Farmers, producers, research & development institutions, vegetable wholesalers, agencies linked with organic farming, food processors, technique providers, exporters, input providers, manufacturers of implements and machinery and advisors will also participate in the expo being organised by Directorate of Horticulture.
About 10 thousand farmers from Madhya Pradesh and outside the state will participate in the expo. Besides, 300 one-to-one meetings will also be held. International experts will deliver lectures and over 400 persons will participate in symposium. At the same time, nursery developers, representatives of the Union and State governments, seed certification agencies, dealers, distributors, entrepreneurs, chiefs of agriculture science centres, representatives of universities and research institutes, bankers, investors and other concerning persons will also participate in the horti expo.
