IT an effective tool to establish good governance and eradicate corruption CM Shri Chouhan at MP State Summit
Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that information technology is being optimally used to deliver various public services to common people easily and timely. He said that IT is the most effective tool to establish good governance and eradicate corruption. Development is incomplete without it. He was addressing MP State Summit – IT Development Programme, Transport and IT Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh was also present.
The Chief Minister said that concrete efforts are being made to promote information technology in the state. Along with making available basic amenities for it, efforts are also being made to make people aware and educated. IT Parks have been established in Indore, Gwalior and other cities through which efforts are being made to provide maximum jobs. He said that expansion of IT is among state government’s priorities.
The Chief Minister said that Public Services Delivery Guarantee Act is being implemented in the state to deliver services to people with transparency and accountability. Similarly, e-registration, e-tendering, e-measurement, transfer of funds directly in farmers account against wheat procurement and scholarships of students are also being ensured. Besides, information technology is also being used to make available various services online and improve quality of education.
The Chief Minister said that every village in the state will be linked with internet. They would also be developed as Smart Villages by making available all facilities. Work in this direction has begun. He said that the government will extend every possible cooperation in making youths industrialists. It would also safeguard small investors’ interests. He said that efforts are afoot to increase investment in IT sector.
He felicitated various people of information technology sector. Secretary to CM and Science & Technology Shri Hari Ranjan Rao and others were also present.
