Jyotiraditya changes Twitter handle bio
Apparently being sidelined in the Madhya Pradesh Congress, AICC General Secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia changed his status on the twitter handle, terming him as public servant and cricket enthusiast.
Surprisingly, he has not mentioned his association with Congress Party in the old status, he changed as public servant and cricket enthusiast.
Till now the senior leader on Twitter identified himself a former Member of Parliament from Guna and former Union Minister with the mention of portfolios he held in the UPA Governments.
It was also mentioned that his late father Madhav Rao Sindhia, Jyotiraditya has acted as a cricket patron, leading Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association for many years. Besides being a former MP, India presently is General Secretary All India Congress Committee.
His stature however has been dented considerably after a shocking Lok Sabha election loss in 2019 and former party president Rahul Gandhi stepping out leaving young guns like Sindhia at nowhere. In just 6 to 8 months after he played an important role in the State assembly polls, he became out of the State politics.
The move however comes close on the heels of intense tussle within the Congress unit in MP where camps belonging to Chief Minister Kamal Nath and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh presently are calling the shots and Scindia is apparently feeling sidelined.
For the past few months, Scindia was seen as a front runner for the post of PCC but due to lack of consensus, the party eventually put the appointment on the back burner.
Political observers however believe that Sindhia has expressed his anguish and disappointment towards his own party in his own unique subtle way.
It’s important to note that Scindia never has expressed his anguish in candid manner in the past even when he was suddenly pushed out of the race for the Chief Minister in MP in 2018.
State Congress Media in-charge Shobha Oza said that Scindia is a senior and respectable leader of the Congress Party and such minor issues should not be blown out of proportion. The leader himself could shed light on the twitter status, she added.
Meanwhile the BJP spokesperson Rajnish Agrawal said that Scindia while changing his twitter status has summed up State of affairs in his party involving him in the recent past.
