Less than a month after municipal employees penalized a resident of Sehore for urinating into the scenic Upper Lake, yet another similar incident was caught on camera late on Saturday night.
City residents say that petty fines may not be enough to deter individuals from the act. They called for stringent action against the culprits.
In the 24-second video that has gone viral on the internet, a young man dressed in a plaid shirt and light blue jeans can be seen peeing into the Upper Lake from the VIP Road.
He hurriedly zips up and tries to hide his face upon realizing that he has been caught in the shameless act.
In late September, municipal employees traced a Sehore resident after a video showing him urinating into the lake went viral. He was made to pay a spot fine of Rs. 5,000.
The Upper Lake is the primary source of drinking water for tens of thousands in the state capital, and repeated incidents of passersby contaminating the lake by spitting and urinating into the water body leave a bad taste in the mouth, literally speaking.
