Lokayukta, EOW Have Lost Credibility: MPCC
The Madhya Pradesh Congress has alleged that the Lokayukta and the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in the state have lost its credibility, reported PTI.
Talking to reporters, MP Congress spokesman KK Mishra said that these organizations are supposed to work as investigating agencies but have drew a blank in acting against corrupt ministers and officials, report said.
He asked the two agencies to clarify against how many people investigation was pending and why it was going ahead at snail’s pace, said report.
Taking up recent transfer of 61 IAS officers, he said that the state government had not touched those officers staying at one place for over three years and were considered close to the chief minister, report said.
Mishra alleged that the ruling BJP claimed to be working for the creation of a golden Madhya Pradesh but actually it was only encouraging spread of corruption, said report.
