M.P. FARMERS PROVIDED TECHNICAL INFORMATION THROUGH INTERNET

Bhopal: for the farmers. It has proved to be a significant initiative towards promoting e-governance in agriculture sector. The state government has conferred the first award to this website for last five years in a row in the category of efficient implementation.

Krishi Mahotsav

A Krishi Mahotsav is going on in the state to educate the farmers about modern farming techniques and technologies. The farmers are also being educated about the schemes being implemented by different departments for them. Successful efforts are also being made at state level to identify and solve the problems of farmers during the Mahotsav. Agricultural fairs and camps, Krishi Rathyatras are also being organized to inform the farmers about beneficiary-oriented schemes and to prepare their cases for benefiting them.

Farm Mechanization

A Yantradoot scheme is being implemented in the state to promote mechanization of agriculture as part of the efforts to reduce the cost and labour in farming. Besides, workshops would be set up in villages to provide training and financial assistance to rural youths in repairing agricultural equipments and machines. Thousands of farmers have been benefited under Haldhar Yojana launched to encourage deep ploughing. Grant is also being provided to farmers to purchase bullock-carts to facilitate farmers and to encourage them for protection of cow family.
