Malwa Fresh brand carves distinct identity in country’s metro cities

Bhopal. Ratlam’s Malwa Fresh brand has carved its distinct identity in country’s metro cities due to its quality agriculture products. During last Rabi season, Malwa Fresh Agro Producer Company sent 500 quintal garlic to Mumbai and Gujarat. District’s farmers have earned much more profit by sending garlic through Malwa Fresh compared to local markets.

Samples of Dollar Gram, soybean and garlic produced in Ratlam district were sent by Malwa Fresh to Sri Lanka. These agriculture products generated good response in international market. Malwa Fresh Agro Producer Company has also developed a website to inform about its products. Information about crops of Ujjain division and their specialities have been uploaded on the website. Divisional Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Pastor had taken the initiative and urged farmers to form producer company to get rid of middlemen. Now, more and more farmers are joining this company.

Ratlam is famous country-wide for quality of its garlic. Weight of one piece of garlic is about 150 to 200 grams. Shajapur and Agar districts’ orange is also caring its distinct identify under Malwa Fresh brand.

The producer company is chalking out a plan to produce high quality wheat floor in coming times. Wheat floor under brand name Malwa Fresh will be marketed in small packets outside. First of all, information regarding marketing of crops produced by division’s farmers was posted on India Mart (marketing agency). Later, malwafresh.com website was developed. Its a powerful medium to market company’s products. The company is also planning to set up a food processing unit based on fruits produced in Agar and Shajapur districts.
