Man Axes Six of Family to Death
A middle aged man axed six members of his family to death, two of them his minor daughters, in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh, said police.
According to reports, Sunil Sen, 40, axed his mother Munni Bai (60), wife Jyoti (35), sister Sangeet (30) daughters Happy and Lovey (five and four respectively) and nephew Rahul (three) in Sainik Society colony in Gada area of Jabalpur, situated some 350 km from state capital.
Jabalpur Additional Superintendant of Police M Kathuria was quoted as saying by IANS that Munni Bai died while being transported to hospital, five other members of the family died on the spot.
Sen also attacked his neighbour Rajkumar Gautam who survived the attack but was injured critically, Kathuria said, adding, Sunil was arrested soon after the incident.
“Though the exact reason behind the killings is not yet known, it seems that Sen, who runs a barbershop, is not mentally fit,” he said.
