Mayor Malti Rai Visits Rain Basera
The Bhopal Municipal Corporation runs 17 night shelters for the homeless in the city

Mayor Malti Rai visited the Rain Basera night shelter at Yadgar-e-Shahjahani Park in the state capital on Monday evening.
Rai interacted with people living at the shelter and enquired about the quality of the food they are served by the neighbouring Deendayal Kitchen.
She directed officials to ensure that residents at the shelter are provided with free, nutritious, and tasty meals.
The Mayor also asked officials to expedite the removal of encroachments and illegally parked vehicles from the vicinity of the shelter.
The Rain Basera—the largest in the city—houses nearly 150 people each night.
