Malti Rai has expressed dissatisfaction over wayward parking and encroachments in the area

Inspecting the multi-level parking in the bustling Ibrahimpura area of the state capital, Mayor Malti Rai on Monday expressed dissatisfaction over the misuse of the municipal facility.
Rai directed officials to immediately remove permanently parked vehicles from the parking.
She also took stock of the traffic situation from Iqbal Maidan to Shaheed Nagar and instructed officials to ensure that vendors and handcarts desist from causing traffic bottlenecks.
Her visit was welcomed by residents in the area who have long borne the brunt of improper parking by people visiting the stretch from Iqbal Maidan to Shaheed Nagar, known for several popular teahouses.
The wayward parking often leads to traffic disarray in the area, which houses Hamidia Hospital, the main healthcare facility in the city.
