‘Mission one click’ scheme starts to ensure payment of scholarship to students

Bhopal. The School Education Department has introduced the ‘Mission One Click’ scheme to ensure that the payment of scholarship to students of government schools of the state gets deposited in their bank account. The scholarship amount payable under the scheme has been deposited in the accounts of students of Class I -XII.

A fund of Rs 400 crore has been transferred into the bank accounts of 65 lakh students through ‘Mission One Click’ in the Vidyarthi Panchayat that was held on January 12 at the CM House. Through the programme the target of Prime Minister’s Digital India Programme and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) has been obtained. Thirty different scholarships of eight departments of the state government have been distributed under the Consolidated Scholarship Scheme. Mission One Click is being run with the help of NIC which has information of online scholarship approval and distribution on the Samagra Shiksha Portal.

All information about scholarship and distribution is available on public domain. Students and their guardians can obtain information on the status of the scholarship distribution by registering with their Samagra I.D. This is the first time in the country that such a big fund has been transferred in the accounts of so many students simultaneously at one place. The eight departments which have been included in the Mission One Click scheme are Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class, Minority Welfare, Ghumakkad, Ardha Ghumakkad, Bhawan-Saha-Nirman Karmakar Mandal, Krishi Mandi and Social Justice Department.

Scholarship of Rs 500 crores has been approved for 82 lakh students under the Mission One Click scheme this year. Rs 400 crores have already reached the students’ accounts. Once the accounts are checked, the remaining amount will also be deposited soon.
