Ensuing directives of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, a Lok Adalat and awareness camp was organised on Wednesday at village Kurana on the outskirts of the state capital.

The mobile Lok Adalat, organised under the ‘Panchayat Aapke Dwaar’ initiative to facilitate quick and easy resolution of disputes at the village level, was attended by Principal District and Sessions Judge, Amitabh Mishra, and local MLA Vishnu Khatri,

Addressing the gathering, Khatri described villages as the soul of India, and underlined the need to keep them free of crime and disputes for the nation’s development.

He emphasised that these Panchs are like banyan trees, providing inspiration, and said that their expertise and experience of Indian customs and traditions can help find culturally viable solutions to disputes.

He also expressed the goal of making this village dispute-free and an ideal community.
