Mother Narmadas special contribution in development of human civilisation

Bhopal. Most of the Yatri participating in Namami Devi Narmade – Seva Yatra said that there has been remarkable contribution of holy Narmada river in development of human civilisation. Narmada Seva Yatri said that the initiative started by the State Government for reviving of Narmada river will become successful certainly.

The yatra resumed from village Joga on its 46th day. Poojan of mother Narmada was performed at the bank in the village. Aarti and Bhajans were presented by yatri and devotees. They mesmerized the people and those participating in the yatra. Pt Keshav Sharma, who arrived from Hoshangabad district, said that he first time saw such yatra and the way mother Narmada was worshiped. The yatra will not only bring development at Narmada banks but also motivate for water and environment protection.

Narmada Seva Yatri and public representatives planted saplings of mango, pipal, neem and banyan. Residents of Joga village were requested to maintain them. To accord farewell to the yatra, gate was installed in the village and Rangaoli was made in village Joga. Attractive and colourful paintings were made on walls of houses. It seemed that entire Joga village felt surge of emotions for the river.

The yatra reached village Chirakhan after joga village. Here too, Aarti of Narmada Kalash was performed and Bhajans and songs were presented. The yatra will reach Ratatalai village after Chirakhan for night halt. Vice chairman of Nehru Yuva Kendra Shri V.D. Sharma and former revenue minister Shri Kamal Patel were accompaid the Yatra.
