MP Assembly Seeks Simultaneous LS, Vidhan Sabha Polls

Bhopal  —  Passing a non-official resolution, the Madhya Pradesh Assembly on Friday asked the Centre to hold simultaneous polls for Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. The resolution was moved by BJP member – Brijmohan Dhoot.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said repeated enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, due to elections, impedes the pace of development.

Govind Singh (Congress), Madan Kushwaha (BSP) and Laxman Tiwari (Bhartiya Janshakti) also expressed their views on the resolution following which the resolution was adopted unanimously.
