MP state cabinet decides to close ahatas
In a move to discourage liqour consumption one of the significant decision taken by the state cabinet is to close ahatas (a facility to serve liqour adjoining to the liqour shop).
The meeting of the MP State Council of Ministers was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The Council of Ministers has taken several important decisions to discourage liquor in the state.
All liquor vendors and shop bars will be closed in the state. Sitting in liquor shops will not be allowed to drink. For liquor shops, the radius of 50 meters around educational and religious institutions will be increased to 100 meters. Along with this, provisions for suspension of driving license and punishment for drunk driving will be made stricter.
increase in relief amount
The Council of Ministers has decided to increase the relief amount by amending Revenue Book Circular 6-4 Appendix-1. According to the decision, Rs 74 thousand per person instead of Rs 59 thousand 100 for disability between 40% and 60% of any part of the body or loss of eye/eyes and Rs 2 lakh for more than 60% disability. 2 lakh 50 thousand rupees will be given. Similarly, seriously injured, who are hospitalized for more than a week, Rs 16,000 per person instead of Rs 12,700 and Rs 4,300 for hospitalization for less than a week. But Rs 5 thousand 400 will be given per person.
Assistance for land and other damages in case of flood
Relief for removal of debris on arable land in hilly areas, desilting or rehabilitation or repair and cleaning in fish farm, instead of Rs. Thousand rupees will be given per hectare. Similarly, in case of loss of land owned by marginal or small farmers due to landslides, avalanches, change of course of rivers, relief will be given at Rs.47,000 per hectare instead of Rs.37,500.
Financial assistance for animal-bird (cock / hen) loss
Relief amount for milch cattle cow/buffalo/camel etc. will be Rs.37,500 instead of Rs.30,000 per animal and Rs.4,000 for sheep, goats/pigs instead of Rs.3,000. For non-milch animal camel/horse/bull/buffalo etc. the relief amount will be Rs.32 thousand per animal instead of Rs.25 thousand per animal and for calf (cow, buffalo)/donkey/pony/mule the relief will be Rs.16 thousand per animal. 20 thousand rupees will be given in place of the animal. For large animals kept in temporary cattle camp, instead of Rs. 70 per animal per day, Rs. 80 will be given and for small animals, instead of Rs. 35 per animal per day, Rs. 45 will be given. Similarly, for loss of birds (hen/rooster), instead of Rs.60 per bird (above 10 weeks of age), Rs.100 per bird will be given.
Assistance given to fishermen affected by floods and storms
In case of partial damage to the boat, Rs.6,000 will be given instead of Rs.4,100 for repair. Instead of Rs 2 thousand 100, Rs 3 thousand will be given for the repair of nets or other equipment. On destruction of boat Rs. 15 thousand rupees will be given instead of 12 thousand rupees. Similarly, in case of loss of fish seed due to natural calamities like drought, heavy rains, floods, landslides, earthquakes, etc., those affected will be given Rs. 10,000 per hectare instead of Rs. 8,200.
Assistance to weavers/artisans
Weavers/handicraftsmen working in the field of traditional crafts affected by natural calamity, on purchase of raw material or thread and other related dyes, chemicals, etc. in case of damage to their equipment/tools and finished goods or raw materials. Instead of the maximum relief amount of Rs 4 thousand 100, Rs 5 thousand will be given per craftsman for the craftsman.
Financial grant assistance for destroyed houses
The cabinet decided to give maximum relief amount of Rs 95 thousand 100 instead of Rs 95 thousand 100 for completely destroyed (non-repairable) and seriously damaged (where the damage is more than 50 percent) pucca/kutcha houses based on the actual damage assessment. 1 lakh 20 thousand will be given in rural areas and Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand in hilly areas. Slum hut (slum/hut means a house made of thatched mud, plastic seat etc. lower than kutcha house) will be given relief amount of Rs.8 thousand instead of Rs.6 thousand if it is completely destroyed. Similarly, for partially damaged (where the damage is 15 percent to 50 percent) relief amount will be given in place of Rs. 5 thousand 200 for pucca house, Rs. Along with this, instead of Rs 2 thousand 100, relief amount will be given for animal house attached to the house, Rs 3 thousand per animal house.
8,171 km Additional approval of 4,160 crores for rejuvenation of roads
The cabinet approved about 8,171 km of the state. For the rejuvenation of roads, an additional approval of Rs 4 thousand 160 crore has been given to the Public Works Department. This decision has been taken to provide high quality roads to the state. For this, a one-time exemption has been provided to the Public Works Department in the limit of available bank of sections (based on the index number). Along with this, the Public Works Department has also been authorized to issue additional administrative approvals worth Rs 4 thousand 160 crore for the strengthening of roads.
Approval of 1589 new posts for new Government Medical College, Satna
The cabinet has approved 1 thousand 92 posts of regular establishment of government service and 497 posts of outsourced services for the operation of new Government Medical College, Satna, in this way a total of 1 thousand 589 new posts have been approved. With the construction of the Government Medical College and Hospital in Satna, additional 150 MBBS seats will be available for the students of the state in the undergraduate course in the medical field. Along with this, medical facilities will be available to the people of Satna district as well as the surrounding areas.
M.P. Municipal Law (Amendment) Bill 2023 approved
The Council of Ministers has directed M.P. to amend certain sections of the Municipal Corporation Act, 1956 and the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1961. The Municipal Laws (Amendment) Bill 2023 has been approved. This bill is being brought in connection with decriminalizing certain provisions of the Acts administered under the department.
Madhya Pradesh’s landless persons in urban areas (grant of leasehold rights) Amendment Bill 2023 approved
The cabinet approved the Landless Persons of Madhya Pradesh Urban Areas (Grant of Leasehold Rights) Amendment Bill 2023 to amend Section 3 and Section 4 of the Madhya Pradesh Urban Areas’ Landless Persons (Grant of Leasehold Rights) Act, 1984 given. Due to which, for the purpose of resolving the housing problem of the poor in the cities, under the Madhya Pradesh Landless Persons in Urban Areas (Provision of Leasehold Rights) Act, 1984, the eligibility date for giving lease of residential land to the poor has been increased and the cutoff date is 31 December 2014. from 31st December 2020.
Approval for creation of new Tehsil Gwalior Rural in Gwalior
The cabinet has approved the creation of new Tehsil Gwalior Rural in Gwalior. Along with this, one Tehsildar, one Naib Tehsildar, one Assistant Grade-2 (Reader), two Assistant Grade-3, 3 Peon have been approved for the new Tehsil.

The cabinet approved Ward no. 18, Khasra no. 1490/1, Block 4 Gayatri Nagar land asset, total area 900 sqm, recommending the highest tender amount of Rs. One Crore 11 Lakh 28 Thousand which is 2.14 times of the reserve price of Rs. 52 Lakh. And after depositing 100% of the tender amount by the H-1 tenderer, it was decided to get the contract/registry proceedings done by the district collector.
The cabinet approved the land asset part no. 12, Chambal Colony, ward no. 1 Survey no- 248/1 250/3 and 252/1 area 2860 square meters, highest tender amount of HI tenderer is 22 crore 44 lakh 80 thousand rupees which is reserve price amount of Rs. 3.05 times of 7.36 crores, it was decided to sell it and after depositing 100% of the tender amount by the HI tenderer, the contract/registry proceedings would be done by the District Collector.

Recommending the highest tender amount of Rs 73 crore 83 lakh 63 thousand 63, which is 1.16 times of the reserve price amount of Rs 63 crore 60 lakh, of the H-1 tenderer of the land asset, total area 5000 square meters, located in front of the mall, plot number – A. After selling it and depositing 100% of the tender amount by the H-1 tenderer, it was decided that the contract/registry proceedings should be done by the district collector.
The Council of Ministers has given the highest tender amount of 3 crore 83 lakh 85 thousand to HI tenderer for disposal of Ward No. 14, survey no. Recommending Rs. 90 lakhs as 4.26 times of the reserve price, it was decided to sell it and after depositing 100% of the tender amount by the H-1 tenderer, the contract/registry proceedings should be done by the district collector.
The cabinet approved Ward no. 11, Panna Bus Depot asset located at Khasra No. 665, 666, 667, 668/2, total area of 9990 sqm, approval of the highest tender amount of Rs.
